Worlds and field objects

Chapter-specific land and decorations shape movement, while sealed memorials turn ordinary scenery into optional encounters and rewards.

Chapter-specific land

The five chapters share the same movement language but use their own world presentation. Chapter I keeps the established land and memorial art; Chapters II–V load dedicated land textures, decorations, and memorial sheets. The result is a different place to read while the enemy families remain a stable part of the wave vocabulary.

World objects are not background-only. The field keeps collision and projectile blocking separate from decorative terrain, so a crowded route can change how you approach a reward or a warning.

Memorials

The current field uses three memorial variants:

Object How it reads in a run
Memorial Stele A standing sealed obstacle that can block a projectile route.
Soul Cairn A lower cairn with the same optional seal interaction.
Shattered Memorial A broken silhouette that still carries the world-object and seal rules.

Move close enough for an active seal to show, then use eligible player spell projectiles to work on it. The type is revealed after a few hits; 20 valid hits break the seal. The reward depends on the revealed type:

  • Spirit gives sustain such as XP or healing.
  • Light can give XP, healing, or a Stone ticket.
  • Death calls a Stirred Warden encounter when the field can accept it; otherwise it falls back to a regular reward.

Only a small number of nearby seals are active at once. This makes the decision spatial: step toward the visible rune when the crowd is open, then leave before the obstacle and its reward turn into a trap.

Boss arenas

When a chapter boss or signature arena takes shape, intersecting memorials retire from that area. Their collision and seal interaction are removed before the visual fade, keeping the boss’s tells and the player’s escape routes readable.

The standalone Timeless RIFT owns a separate numbered-floor chamber. It uses its own LIGHT and arena flow rather than turning a chapter memorial into an accidental RIFT portal.
