Before your first run

Chapter Select is your home between runs. From there you can:

  • choose a chapter and difficulty;
  • choose a Character and inspect its signature spell and Family;
  • open Ancients to spend Gold on permanent upgrades;
  • open the Library to browse mechanics and your collection progress;
  • open Inbox beside your profile when it is available, to read news and claim gifts; and
  • open Settings for audio, joystick, haptics, and tutorial options.

The first launch can present a mechanics introduction and a permanent-reward notice. You can turn tutorial cards on or off from Settings.

For a server-linked account, let Gold and Ancient ownership finish verification or recovery before starting a new run. A verified saved economy can support ordinary offline play; Ancient purchases and new Inbox claims require an online connection. Follow the account message shown on your screen.

Quick start

  1. Choose an available chapter and difficulty, then start a fresh run. A new profile begins with Chapter I on Mortal.
  2. Move with WASD or the arrow keys. On touch screens, use the on-screen joystick.
  3. Keep moving while spells attack automatically. Positioning and choosing a safe path are your main moment-to-moment decisions.
  4. Collect the Soul Stones enemies leave behind. They grant XP, and each new level opens an upgrade choice.
  5. Add a new base spell or improve one you already own.

Movement and casting

Spirit Awakening handles casting for you. Your job is to steer through the crowd, keep enemies at useful distances, and collect the drops that grow your run. Different spells choose and affect targets in different ways, so a build can change how you move even though casting stays automatic.

Build choices

An opening Family groups three related spells. Completing the three member spells activates the family Synergy. Separate Parchments modify a run without defining a Family. Later, giving all three Family Spells an Altar form opens the Family’s Rite route and its eligible Advanced Spell rewards, provided you do not already own one.

Your run build is temporary. Ancients and selected Character progress are the places to look for improvements that carry into future runs.

Pause, Continue, and endings

Pause freezes gameplay. You can resume, inspect the current build, open settings, or confirm that you want to quit the attempt. Confirming Quit finalizes that run and removes it from Continue.

Fresh chapter runs have one signature duel at 10:00 and a final-boss threshold at 20:00 on the chapter clock. Defeating that boss completes the chapter; the clock alone does not finish the attempt.

If play is interrupted during a run with a valid saved checkpoint, Continue can restore the latest safe checkpoint. That checkpoint can be slightly earlier than the moment play stopped. For an eligible alive Chapter run, starting from that chapter lets you choose Continue or New Run; New Run ends and replaces the saved build.

Reaching zero health opens the death flow, with one free revive per run in the current build. A pending revive or run ending must be resolved before a fresh run can replace it. See Continue and what persists for save recovery and the limited Continue Later action.
