Signature encounters by chapter
Each fresh chapter run has one signature duel at 10:00. It is separate from the final boss reached at the 20:00 chapter-clock threshold. Helpers, warnings, and vulnerable windows determine how you can hurt these adversaries.
| Chapter | Encounter | Field pattern |
|---|---|---|
| Despair | Soul Harvester | Break ritual targets to earn a body-damage window. |
| Corruption | Blight Shepherd | Destroy nests and attack during replacement planting. |
| Damnation | Chain Warden | Break three prison seals to restore movement and remove body protection. |
| Pandemonium | Hollow Conductor | Line up a leader with the warned beam, then leave the firing lane. |
| Abyss | The Unmaker | Break the selected focus to interrupt the void projection. |
Soul Harvester
Eight ritual targets appear around the Harvester. Break them before they are siphoned: severing at least four earns a two-second opening, while clearing all eight earns four seconds. The body accepts damage only during the stunned opening. Ordinary attacks against the protected body do not replace the ritual objective.
Use your movement to bring automatic Spells across the ritual targets. Between rituals, leave mortar warnings and keep space around the combat summons. Absorbed targets can heal the Harvester, so letting the ritual finish makes the next cycle harder.
Blight Shepherd
Four damageable Blight Nests form the garden. Living nests protect the Shepherd, spread damaging auras as they mature, and sustain summons. Their growth, bloom, tending, and possible transplantation change which routes are safe.
Destroy a nest to create a replacement job. During the 4.5-second planting cast, surviving nests stop contributing body protection: this is the damage opening. Move into a useful firing position while avoiding the remaining auras. The Shepherd can replace missing nests, so clearing one is a timed opportunity rather than a permanent solution to the whole fight.
Chain Warden
Three breakable prison seals tether you to a restricted area and slow movement toward its limit. Each living seal supplies 20% body-damage reduction: protection falls from 60% to 40%, 20%, then zero as you destroy them. The reachable area expands and the slowdown eases with each break.
Prioritize reachable seals while leaving the sweep and Retribution warnings. Breaking all three releases confinement and creates a staggered opening before free combat. Guards continue to add pressure while seals remain; circling the Warden without attacking the seals keeps both its defense and the prison working against you.
Hollow Conductor
Three returning leaders and their soldiers surround the Conductor. Its main attack is a warned beam. Position a leader in the beam’s line, wait for the direction to lock, and step clear. A beam that strikes a leader dazes the Conductor for four seconds, exposing the body and the struck leader to full damage.
The leader does not shield you from the beam: it can hit both the leader and the player. Outside the opening, surviving leaders protect the body. They also return after defeat, so use the daze to deal damage while managing the continuously arriving soldiers.
The Unmaker
The Unmaker moves through manifestation, preparation, void projection, and recovery. Two breakable focuses support a staged seven-area void pattern. During projection the body cannot take damage; the focuses remain your way to interrupt it.
Damage the selected focus during preparation to shrink the warning. Destroy that focus during preparation or projection to cancel the attack and earn six seconds of recovery, instead of the three-second natural recovery. Stay outside active void areas while positioning your Spells toward the selected focus. The body is vulnerable during manifestation, preparation, and recovery.
The RIFT versions
These are the chapter duels. The same identities appear in Timeless RIFT, where helper counts, timing, arena size, and scaling can differ. Use that guide for the numbered-floor encounters.
